every where I look

Wasted space is all around us.Food should be abundant and could be with your help.Im not advocating a community garden as much as Im saying fruit and berries and nut trees should be in every part of the landscape as well as winter onions, asparagus, horseradish and especially mushrooms should all be placed in areas assessable to the people. And we have the power to do it individually in our own spaces.Plant something like garlic for instance takes forever to get underway, but relatively cheap to buy and will provide you with years of crops and continue long after you are gone. What a return on that investment. Most of these crops could be grown in areas that are currently hard to mow/creeks/around poles/ditches or wherever, you get it.I will be practicing this as I try to offset normal orchard practices.I personally will be planting all of the above listed crops.FOOD,all around.I believe I will try to put some aquaponics into the mix on the Jackson St site.Fish is gooood food.
So please buy a plant that produces food  and returns every year and turn it free into the world by simply placing it into the dirt, especially if you plan on giving away some of what it produces or just walking away for a year or two.Think of it as giving thanks for all you have gotten and share in the hope.
I know many currently partake in this practice and for those folks I issue the challenge of Mushrooms.Check into the Wine Cap variety,it seems super simple and quick.I will be purchasing 20 plus pounds of grain spawn this year in hopes of a crop in the summer.I
